Coats for Kids Logo

Got any coats, sweaters, or blankets you need to get rid of? The Lakeshore Museum Center is once again a drop of site for Star 108's Coats for Kids. Boxes are located at the LMC Museum and at the City Barn behind the Hackley and Hume Houses. Bring a donation to the Historic Sites and recieve one free tour pass per item!

The holidays are coming to the Historic Sites! The Hackley and Hume houses will be decorated for Christmas by local volunteer groups and the Scolnik House of the Depression Era will be decorated for both Christmas and Hannukah by Lakeshore Museum Center staff. Join us for walk-thru style tours in November and December.

Holidays at the Hackley and the Hume houses and the Scolnik House of the Depression Era start with two evening tours November 27th and 28th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm , then November 29th from 12:00 to 4:00pm.  In December, the Historic Sites will be open for tours the 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 28th and 29th from 12:00 to 4:00.  Admission to the Scolnik House is free, the Hackley & Hume Site is $3.00 adult, 12 and under are free.   We will, however offer a free pass to anyone bringing  gently used winter apparel to donate to the Star 108 Coats for Kids campaign.

For those of you too busy before the holidays, or may be trying to find some way to entertain out of town guests, the Historic Sites will still be decorated and opened on December 28th & 29th from 12:00 to 4:00pm.
